Fashionable Colors for the Spring 2008

No matter what fashion show you attend, many designers put a strong focus on all shades of pink for the spring 2008 season. For the necktie pink has been a trend already in spring 2007 as well as 2006. As more men find comfort in this previously feminine considered color, designers use pink not just for accessories such as ties, but also shirts and even blazer jackets and dress pants.

Although the pink tie has become much more common in the business attire, this colored piece of neckwear should be chosen wisely. Not only is the right shirt and suit combination important but the time of the year and weather also play a large role. As far as color combination goes for the pink necktie, it is recommended to stay with more conservative shirt and suit colors. The white shirt and dark gray suit are perfect choices. The fresh color of the pink tie will set a nice contrast. A dark gray suit with fine pin stripes is also a good choice combination with a pink tie if you want to go for an even more trendy and maybe slightly flashy look. The cut of the suit is important as well. The color pink is quite trendy and it should be combined with a more modern and sporty looking suit. Preferred is the three buttoned suit jacket over the more traditional two button jacket.

Finally the weather and the time of the year play a large role as well. Pink is the preferred spring color along with other pastel colors such as a light blue and sage green. The light of the sun on a sunny spring or summer day harmonizes well with the fresh pink. For business events during the late evening or night, pink may not be the best choice. For this occasion a more conservative and slightly darker colored tie is more suited.
