These mother of pearl and polished stainless steel cufflinks are great. They let you be in charge of how much attention you want to give to the pearl. If you want them to speak for themselves then wear any color suit and a darker colored shirt so the pearls can pop off of the dark colors. However, if you want the pearls to be a bit more muted, pair them with a crisp white shirt so they still attain an iridescent shine, but are not the main focus of the outfit.
