To elbow patch or not to elbow patch is the question of the day around the office. The team is divided.  On one side we have those that think it looks academic with a sportsmens like bravado and on the other side, we have those that think it looks stodgy, dated and grandpa-esque.  So we ask you, our savvy fashion readers, what's your stance on the elbow pad in menswear fashion? We look forward your feedback and in the meantime, have pulled a few looks together that we think you'll every love or hate, depending on your elbow patch proclivities.

Here is a casual look that incorporates army washed chinos, a braided belt, a plaid shirt, a henley, and a navy blazer with leather elbow patches.  This looks is polarizing. What do you think?  Most agreed that this was a little too much mixing and matching.  And the prevailing opinion was this:  whether you like patches or not, they should be suede and not leather.

Elbow patchworks are typically associated to colder weather fashion months, but this Summer Seersucker look caught our eye.  We like the combination of seersucker blues, pastel yellows and light grey elbow patches.  We saw this look and thought this style would look dynamically hip with a platinum silver skinny tie.

Elbow Pads are not for blazers only; they can be used on sweaters, cardigans and jackets.  We love the casual look of the sweaters and the denim but can't decide if we like the elbow pads or not.  We love the color coordination of the tan elbow pads and the buttons.
