Neckerchief

The neckerchief is a decorative piece of neckwear typically associated with boy scouts and sailors. For more information please read:

A neckerchief is a type of decorative neck wear most commonly associated with the cub or boy scouts and sailors. The neckerchief itself is a rectangular piece of material that is folded once on the diagonal to form a triangle. The triangle is then rolled from the long end towards the apex to form a band of cloth that is then worn around the neck and either tied off or secured with a sliding fastener (as is the case with the scouts). Neckerchiefs come in a vast array of colors and patterns. In the case of the scouts the pattern and color of the neckerchief, as well as the sliding clasp, is used to demarcate the wearers rank.
