In 1838, the English entrepreneur Charles Lavy created Laco in Hamburg, and 100 years ago emperor Wilhelm II was a customer of the company. Today, fine silk ties are still made by hand in Hamburg. There are only two companies of this type remaining in Germany. Today over 500 employees work in the company’s silk tie production.
The special thing about Laco ties is the lining, which consists of pure new wool. Thus the tie is very elastic and will easily slide back into shape after tying. The outer fabric is made of 100% pure silk
