Matching Differnt Patterns of Necktie and Dress Shirt

Tips to Match Different Patterns in Shirt and Tie

Most men almost exclusively wear plain white dress shirts with their suit and tie. You ever wondered? There are many reasons why white dress shirts are so popular. First of all they match well with almost any color and pattern in the suit and tie. For that reason, the occasional suit and tie wearer as well as the person with a smaller wardrobe should choose the classic white dress shirts first before going on to different colors and patterns. White dress shirts are also very easy to dry-clean. They are typically made out of cotton which can be bleached and starched without damaging the fabric. White dress shirts are also the most classic and most conservative color. For that reason it is advisable to wear a white dress shirt during a job interview or on your first few days with a new employer.

Another popular dress shirt is the light blue shirt. It is another color that combines exceptionally well with any shade of gray, beige, tan, or olive green in your suit. When you wear a light blue dress shirt, show some warm colors in your silk ties such as yellow, orange, or even pink. Matching Different Patterns of Tie and Shirt

If this look is too boring for you, then consider wearing different patterns in your pieces of clothing. If done the right way, it will show a sense of style and good feel for fashion. The simple rule to follow when matching different patterns: Alternate between the size of the pattern and the pattern type. For example: A pin-striped suit with fine and narrow stripes, a checkered dress shirt with slightly larger checks, and a mostly solid color necktie with a pattern of tiny polka dots. Try it out and you will be amazed how well you can suddenly combine your clothing. You will get a new look everyday while keeping the professional look of suit and tie.
