A safari (or bush) suit is an outfit constructed out of khaki cotton material that includes a safari jacket as well as matching pants or shorts. The Safari suit became popular at the beginning of the 20th century when white travelers were looking for garments that offered utility and comfort for their outdoor African safaris.

Safari jackets are easily recognized by their hip length, bellows style pockets that can use to carry large items and a belt at the waist. Typically safari jackets also have shoulder epaulets and should not be confused with bush shirts which lack both a belt and epaulets.
