Monk Straps
Monk straps, more commonly called monk shoes, are a style of mens semi formal dress shoe that are easily distinguished by the complete lack of shoelaces and the addition of a buckle and strap combination used to close the shoe instead.
Monk shoes fall almost squarely in the center of the casual to formal shoe spectrum; somewhere between an oxford shoe and a Gibson shoe - also known as Blucher. A popular variation of the monk shoe includes a metal toe cap for decoration.
