A special weaving technique of the silk fabric creates a ribbed, smooth, ribbed, smooth pattern. The ribbed pattern is used for the navy blue stripes. The red stripes are much smoother creating more shine. To soften the contrast between the two main colors a very fine white stripe lies between each wide stripe.
