Chavet is a type of fabric woven in a distinctive pattern out of lightweight silk or acetate. Charvet closely resembles herringbone fabric and is generally shiny due to the silk or acetate used in its construction.

Charvet fabric is most commonly used in the construction of mens ties, silk scarves as well as robes.
