Camel hair is a type of fabric cloth made out of the hair harvested from a camel. Camel hair cloth may be either 100% natural camel hair or be composed of a hair/fiber blend (typically wool or a synthetic).

There are two types of hair harvested from camels, the soft inner hair and the long coarse outer hair. The inner hair is typically used in the production of fine garments due to the softness of its texture. The outer hair, on the other hand, is generally used in the production of outer coats and upholstery due to its durability and water resistance.

Garments made from camel hair are popular for their soft color, pleasing texture and thermal properties that retain heat in cold weather while letting heat escape in warm weather.
